1/2 lb bulk sausage (I use more)
3/4 c. chopped onions
1 c. uncooked rice
3 c. chicken broth (I use chicken bullion cubes)
1 can (4 1/2 oz) sliced mushrooms - I typically omit
1/8 tsp pepper, oregano, thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage with onion, until meat is lightly browned. Remove all but 1 TBsp of drippings from the pan. Add rice and continue cooking until rice is golden. Stir in chicken broth (I do 3 cups of water and 2-3 bullion cubes), undrained mushrooms (if using) and seasoning. Heat to boiling, stirring once. Cover, reduce heat and cook 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
