Ingredients: 10oz Puff Pastry, thawed 1 large egg, lightly beaten 4 Medjool dates, 3oz 4oz fresh goat cheese, room temperature 2oz cream cheese, room temperature Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper 2oz kalamata olives, pitted and coarsely chopped 2 T pickled Chiles 1 T olive Oil Sea Salt for serving

Directions:Preheat oven to 375º. Unfold dough on a lightly floured parchment paper. Cut into a 10X9 Rectangle, roll out first if necessary Trim edges and transfer to backing sheet Use the tip of a sharp knife to score a 1" border (do not cut all the way through) Prick the center all over with a fork Freeze 15 Minutes Carefully brush border with the beaten egg (reserve remaining beaten egg for filling) Bake until puffed and golden, about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and press center down to create a hollow Meanwhile cut 1/4" off the end of a date, remove the pit. Cut date into 1/4" rounds. Repeat with remaining dates Mix together goat and cream cheeses. Stir in remaining beaten eggs, 1/2t salt, and 1t pepper Stir in olives. Spread mixture into hollow of tart shell. Toss dates and chilies with oil. Sprinkle over cheese mixture pressing gently to adhere. Bake until set, about 10 minutes Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt before serving |
