Heat oven to 350º. Bake 1 hour

¼ lb. softened butter (1 stick)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts. Pecans can be substituted
½ to 1 cup strawberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well and take half and layer in a greased 2-quart square baking pan.

Spread half of the jam on top of the dough layer.

Layer remaining dough on top of the jam.

Top with remaining jam spreading thinly

Top lightly with more nuts
