Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Cook 6 cups berries to a simmer. Then add 5-6 cups sugar. Bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. (If 8 cups berries, boil 4-5 minutes)

Take off heat and while still hot use electric beater and beat until cooler and starting to thicken. (Don't burn out electric beater. let rest a little) This beating releases the natural pectin from the seeds so jam will gel and you do not need to buy any package pectin.

Pour into canning jars, (with lids and rings) while hot and it will seal. Freeze jars that aren't sealed, or can process in canner.

Personal Notes:
I got this from a patient's wife, Ione B. Fowkes, in Santaquin. Great way to make jam without pectin.
