1 cup shortening
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
½ cup cold coffee
3½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
2½ cups raisins
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, brown sugar, and eggs. Stir in coffee. Sift and stir in flour, salt, baking soda, and spices. Add raisins. Chill at least 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes. Cookie is done when almost no imprint remains when touched lightly.
