Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 to 6 lb. Prime rib roast
⅓ cup olive oil
¼ cup grated onion
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. dried basil
½ tsp. dried marjoram
½ tsp. dried thyme
¼ tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place roast on enough plastic wrap on a large cutting board to wrap roast in. In a medium bowl mix rest of the ingredients well. Spread evenly over top and sides of roast and press plastic wrap onto roast to hold marinade on roast. Place in a pan and refrigerate overnight or for at least 2 to 4 hours. Fill bottom of a sprayed broiler pan with water. Place roast on rack of broiler pan, remove plastic wrap. Place in 325° pre-heated oven. Cook until meat thermometer reads 140° for rare, 150° for med-rare, 160° for medium. About 15 minutes per pound, check occasionally with meat thermometer. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before carving. Serves 8.
