Directions:
(Other nuts may be substituted. Coconut may be used, using 2 cups of granulated sugar.)

In 3 quart microwave safe casserole, stir together sugar, water, corn syrup and water. Cover with plastic wrap, turning back to vent steam.

Microwave at High (100% power) 8 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes.

Stir in pecans and vanilla. Cover again and microwave 2 minutes more.

Stir in powder sugar until well blended. Continue stirring for 1 to 2 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken and loses its gloss.

Quickly drop by rounded tablespoons, 3 inches apart, onto sprayed waxed paper. Let pralines stand until set.

Carefully remove and store between layers of waxed paper in airtight container. Makes about 20 pralines.

Do not double the recipe; make it twice instead!
