1 Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake Mix - bake at temperature as directed for 20 minutes in a jelly roll pan; cool.

Icing for 1st layer: cook together 5 tablespoons flour and 1-1/4 cups milk until very thick. Cover and refrigerate until cold.

Cream: 1 cup sugar, 1 stick soft butter and 1/2 cup Crisco. Add cold flour mixture. Beat until light and fluffy. Spread over cake. Refrigerate until cold.

Icing for 2nd layer: melt 3 squares unsweetened chocolate or 3 packages chocolate bake. Add 3 cups powdered sugar, 1 egg, 1/2 cup soft butter, 2 tablespoons hot water and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until smooth.

Spread over whole cake.
