2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
/4 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. syrup (preferably green label Karo but if unavailable, blue label or dark Karo Syrup)
3/4 c. pecan pieces
1/2 c. pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix together:
2 eggs + 1/2 c. sugar + 1/4 tsp. salt + 1/4 c. melted butter + 3/4 c. syrup
Add pecan pieces and stir by hand.
Pour into unbaked pie crust.
Place pecan pieces on top for decoration.
Bake for 40-50 minutes. (Cover pie edges with foil if browning too quickly.)
To test for readiness, pie should be set with no liquid (can insert knife in center - should come out clean).
