1 scant tsp. baking soda
1 TB flour
⅓ cup cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
pie crust

Directions:
Place first 3 ingredients in a heavy sauce pan. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Then add the baking soda. Simmer at a low boil for 10 minutes.

Mix the flour and water until well blended. Add to raisin caramel mixture. Stir until well blended. Add vanilla. Pour into pie crust. Place pie crust on top. Bake at 350º F. until brown.

This makes a small pie. I usually make 3 recipes and put it into 2 pie pans. If I am making 1 pie, then I make 1 ½ recipes.
