3 c. flour, spooned into cup
½ tsp. soda
1½ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 c. butter or good quality margarine
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon & nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, soda and baking powder. On low speed of mixer cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse cornmeal. In a small bowl, beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla and beat thoroughly. Blend egg mixture into flour mixture. Chill dough covered with a piece of plastic wrap. Roll to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in 375° oven for about 8 -10 minutes
