3 eggs
1 c. white sugar (do not fill cup - use between 3/4 and 1 cup)
1 c. Karo pancake and waffle syrup (I haven't been able to find Karo in a long time. I've used Hungry Jack and it works well and tastes good)
pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 stick margarine
1 c. pecans (I typically am more generous using nearly 2 cups)

Beat eggs until frothy and lemon colored. Add sugar and syrup and mix well. Add salt, vanilla, and margarine and mix well. Add pecans. Pour into pie shells. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes, then decrease temperature to 350º baking about 45 more minutes. Pie is done when knife inserted into center comes out clean.
