"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Shredded cheese (optional)

Directions:
Brown hamburger meat; add tomatoes and green chilis and cream of mushroom soup and mix well.

Lisa's Version (I like Tater Tots crispy)
Spray 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray. Put meat in casserole dish. Cover with tater tots. Bake at degree as directed by tater tots package. Add cheese (if desired) at the end just until melted

Candee's Version (Her family likes softer tater tots)
Spray 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray. Cover bottom with tater tots. Cover tater tots with meat mixture. Cover with cheese. Bake at degree as directed by tater tots package.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
As I said in the directions above, I like crispy tater tots, and Candee's family likes softer ones. In Candee's version, I did not put "cheese (if desired)" because for the boys, cheese is NEVER EVER optional kinda like ketchup.
