Put in pan:
2 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup


Blend and set aside:
2 ½ - 3 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
Put 1 lb. raw peanuts in glass pan and place in 350º oven to warm.
2 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar solution to rapid boil (275º on candy thermometer, over medium heat and stir with wooden spoon). Add hot peanuts and cook while stirring until 300º. Add butter and heat until blended.
Remove from heat and add soda mixture - stir quickly. Pour into well buttered pan. Cool then break into pieces.

This recipe does not work well in high humidity.
