4 cups sugar
1 cup light Karo syrup
¾ cup water
3 egg whites, beaten stiffly
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup broken nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites stiffly in electric mix; set aside. Place first 3 ingredients in saucepan over low heat; stir until sugar dissolves then cook without stirring to 250º. Remove from heat and pour a fine stream into the egg whites while beating constantly. Beat until mixture holds its shape and loses the gloss. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
