Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1½ cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
2 Tbsps. orange zest

Sugar mixture for rolling cookies

3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. orange zest

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; set aside.

2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add the eggs one at a time and beat just until combined.

3. Mix the dry ingredients into the butter, sugar and eggs, mixing until well combined. Fold in cranberries and orange zest.

4. Combine the ¾ cup sugar and orange zest in a small bowl and rub them together with fingers until thoroughly combined.

5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the orange sugar. Place on parchment covered baking sheets about 2 inches apart.

6. Bake at 350º for 10-13 minutes.

* I usually add the first 2 Tbsp. orange zest to the dry ingredients. That distributes it more evenly into the batter.
