1 cup butter or margarine
½ cup shortening
5 eggs
3 cups flour (plain)
½ tsp, salt
1 cup 7-Up
3 cups sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. butter flavored extract
1 tsp. vanilla

GLAZE:
¼ cup 7-Up
½ cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º. Combine butter, shortening, 3 cups sugar and extracts. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs ( 1 at a time and beat after each addition). Combine flour and salt. Add alternately with 1 cup 7-Up; beat well. Spoon into a well greased and floured 10" tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes or until done. Cook in pan on wire rack about 5 minutes. In a small pan, cook the ½ cup sugar and ¼ cup 7-Up. Boil 2 - 3 minutes. Punch holes in cake with toothpick; pour and spread glaze over cake.
