1 C sugar
½ tsp salt
½ C shortening
3 ripe bananas
2 eggs
2 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
⅓ cup nutmeats (optional)
½ C dried cranberries

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar, salt and shortening. Add bananas and eggs. Sift together flour and baking soda. Add nuts. Bake in a buttered 4 X 8 inch loaf pan in an oven preheated to 350º for approximately 30 minutes. Cool before slicing. May be frozen.
