1 tbsp of sugar
1tsp pickling salt
1 tsp of lemon juice

Scald tomatoes so skins come off.
Pack tomatoes into sterilized jars,they make their own juice.
I use an knife to get any air bubbles out,then put 1 tbsp of sugar,1tsp pickling salt and 1 tsp of lemon juice on op of each quart put lids and rings in tight and shake to dissolve sugar ,salt and mix lemon juice through .
Wipe jars off ,tighten lids give a quarter turn back put into hot water bath in oven at 250 for about 1 hr .
Whenever they start to bubble in the jar they are done. Usually about an hour.
Wipe jars off as the juice may have bubble out a bit,tighten lids let seal .
Next day take rings off and wipe jars and put rings back on just tight enough they won't drop .
