Directions:
My peaches and pears I do the same. Peel peaches ,pack into sterilized jars . I use a medium syrup: 3 cups of white sugar to 4 cups of water, for a thinner syrup 2 cups of white sugar to 4cups of water. Pour hot syrup over peaches make sure you get air bubbles out by running a knife down insides of jars leave a 1/2" air space. Wipe jars off ,put hot sterilized lids on and put the hot rings on, tighten jars down loosen a quarter turn. I use my roast pan a small towel in bottom and add water ,put jars into water bath for 1 hr at 250 degrees. You may have to add more water as it should be about1/2 way up jars. When hr is up take jars out and tighten lids so they will seal. Next day I take rings off and wipe jars really good ,wipe rings as they may be sticky from juice bubbling out , then put lids on tight enough that when you pick them up they don't let go. Pears are done the same except I like to put a couple cloves into each jar unless you don't like cloves then leave them plain.

If you need to know something else let me know. Better still come to grandma and she will help you the first time.
