10 corn tortillas
1 T oil
1 onion minced (1/2 cup)
1 tsp minced garlic
8 cup chicken broth
2 c. diced cooked chicken
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 medium sized green bell pepper seeded and cut into thin strips
2 T chopped fresh cilantro
2 med tomatoes chopped
1 med avocado
6 ounces Monterey Jack cheese diced
3/4 c salsa
sour cream

Heat oven to 400 degres. Spray both sides of tortillas with cooking spray. Stack and cut into 1/2 inch wide strips, then cut in half cross-wise. Spread strips evenly on an ugreased baking sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes, turning once utnil crisp and brown. Remove pan from oven.

Heat oil in soup pot. Add onion and garlic and cook over medium -low heat 3-4 minues, stirring often until softened. Add broth, chicken and cumin. bring to a rapid boil over high heat. ADd bell pepper. REduce heat and boil gently 5 minutes or until pepper is crisp-tender. stir in cilantro.

Serve with tortilla strips, tomatoes, avocados, cheese and salsa among 6 bowls. Top with sour cream.
