¾ cup oleo
1½ cups sugar
3 eggs
2¼ cups flour
¼ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
¾ cup buttermilk
¾ cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. grated lemon rind

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar. Beat well. Add one egg at a time, beat. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and add to cream mixture alternately with buttermilk. End up with flour addition last. Stir in pecans and rind. Use a greased 9"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour 15 minutes or until done.
