1 C Crisco
2 C Sugar
2 Eggs
4 C Flour
1 C Cocoa
1 t salt
2 t Baking soda
1 C milk (soured w/ 1t vinegar)
1 C Hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Pre- heat oven to 400º
Cream sugar and crisco together then beat in eggs 1 at a time
Sift dry ingredients together (Even though I am opposed to extra steps and sifting, this recipe actually needs the ingredients sifted together)
Add dry ingredients alternately w/ milk.
Stir in hot water
Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 7 mins.
Place onto waxed paper to cool
Frosting:
Cream together 1 Cup shortening, 2 sticks butter, 3 Cups Powdered sugar, 4 Tablespoons Flour, 4 Tablespoons Milk and 1 teaspoon Vanilla
