2 cups milk, scalded
6 Tbsp sugar
⅔ cup oil
3 tsp salt
4 packages yeast
½ cup lukewarm water
2 eggs
8 cups flour, divided

Sugar Topping:
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
In a medium bowl, stir together scalded milk, sugar, oil and salt; cook to lukewarm. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Stir into the milk mixture. When milk mixture is lukewarm, add eggs and 2 cups flour; beat two minutes. Gradually add 6 more cups of flour. When dough is firm enough, turn it out onto a floured surface, and knead for 3 to 4 minutes. Place into a greased bowl, cover and allow dough to rise until doubled - about 30 to 45 mintues. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to ½-inch thickness and cut with donut cutter. Place onto a floured wax papered tray. Let rise 30-40 minutes, until light. Heat one inch of oil in a deep heavy frying pan to 375º. Fry donuts a few at a time. Cook on each side until golden brown, then remove to drain on paper towels. Shake doughnuts in cinnamon sugar (a ziplock bag works well). You can glaze if preferred.
