1 lb. beef
1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 medium green pepper, coarsely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 cup medium grain rice
16 oz. can diced tomatoes
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. Dried basil
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 cup cheese, shredded

Directions:

1. In a skillet coated with Pam, brown ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat.
2. Add rice; cook stirring constantly for 2 minutes. (The rice is raw)
3. Add remaining ingredients (except cheese).
4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat.
5. Cover and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
6. Remove cover, sprinkle with cheese, if desired. Can put cheese on at the table.
