3 cups sifted cake flour
2½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1¾ cup sugar
⅔ cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1½ tsp vanilla
1½ cup milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease cake pans. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Cream sugar and butter together until light; add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture and beat until mixed. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk beating well with each addition. Continue beating one minutes. Spread into cake pans. Bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
