6 slices of bread in pieces
Chopped onion
1 egg
2 pounds hamburger
2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the bread pieces, chopped onion and 1 egg. Add water til mixture is moist. Add hamburger and mix, form into patties.

Brown patties on both sides in oil and drain.
Mix 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, 3/4 can of water and drippings until smooth.
Cover patties with sauce and simmer 30 minutes..

Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

Sometimes I grill the patties and then place them in the oven to bake with the mushroom soup mix on them.
