4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour
½ cup rolled oats, quick cooking
2 ½ cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl combine all ingredients. Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead dough a few times.
Form the dough into a 7 inch round on a lightly buttered baking sheet and with the blunt edge of a knife mark the top with a cross about a ¼ inch deep.
Bake the bread in a preheated 375º oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Transfer bread to a rack and let it cool 20 minutes before slicing.
