Prepare 1 box of yellow cake mix according to directions and bake in 3 8 inch or 9 inch cake pans. Let cool.

Icing:

1 stick of butter
1 box (8 oz) of brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1-2 tbsp. coffee
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and stir in brown sugar over low heat to blend. Add enough coffee to make icing a spreadable consistency. Do not beat. Additional brown sugar may be added if needed. This icing will have a grainy texture.
I usually double the recipe if making 3 layers.
