½ c. sugar
2 eggs
½ c. melted butter
1 c. milk

3 c. whole wheat flour
½ c. melted butter
¾ c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
½ c. finely chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Dissolve yeast in water.
2. Add sugar and ginger. Let stand until bubbly.
3. Combine the next 4 ingredients in separate mixing bowl.
4. Add milk to egg mixture.
5. Add white flour and mix thoroughly.
6. Add yeast and mix well with mixer.
7. Add enough wheat flour to make a good bread dough and knead well.
8. Place in greased bowl.
9. Grease top of dough and let rise until double in bulk.
10. When dough is light, bunch it down. Cut into walnut-sized pieces and form into balls.
11. Mix together sugar, cinnamon, and nuts.
12. Dip balls in melted butter and roll in cinnamon mixture.
13. Place a layer of balls in a lightly greased angelfood pan. Add another layer.
14. Continue in this way until all balls have been used. (Note: The balls will not fill the pan all the way)
15. Cover with a towel and allow to rise for about 1 hour.
16. Bake at 350ºF for 35 to 40 min.
17. Invert onto a plate to cool.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Sometimes I have to melt more butter and mix more cinnamon mixture to finish dipping the balls.
