Meatballs:
Italian bread crumbs
3 eggs
Fresh chopped parsley
Garlic salt
Black peppeR
Red pepper flakes (just 1 shake, not too much)
2 lbs meatloaf mix
Water as needed to keep mixture moist
Raisins

Sauce:
See below.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the breadcrumbs and eggs, to form a sticky paste. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Add water as needed to keep mixture moist. Split mixture into half.

Shape one part into balls, add raisins to the other part and roll into logs.

Place on baking sheet, and bake at 325 degrees for about 20 min. Flip half way through cooking time.

While that is baking, make sauce.

Heat. 1/4 cup EVOO in large sauce pan.
Sauté 4 big spoonfuls of crushed garlic
Add 1 package of Bone in country ribs and brown on both sides

Add 4, 28oz cans crushed tomatoes
1 can of water
1 4 oz can paste

Season with
Fresh chopped basil
Fresh chopped parsley
Sugar
Garlic powder
2 bay leaves
Salt n pepper

Add meatballs, cover
and Simmer on low for 3 hours

Keep stirring frequently and place lid askew for last hour .

(Totally dunkable after the first hour, right Alex!

My recipe became affectionately known as sauce n balls, from my wonderful neighbors on Weathersfield Drive! They always knew when I was cooking it and would stop by for a taste. Side note here...Alex would invite his friends over for a bread dunk!

Ps.... I rarely use measurements. Mom taught me to sprinkle till it looks right!
