1 3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 TB yeast
1/2 c warm water
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c mashed potatoes(or potato flakes)
2 eggs
1/2 c oil
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
6 c flour

Glaze
4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp butter flavoring
1/4 tsp almond flavoring
dash of salt
hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk or I use powdered milk and add it with dry ingredients and I add the water to the yeast mixture. Add yeast to water and sugar, let set until foamy. I mix everything together in my kitchen aid leaving the flour for last. Mix for 5 min. Dough should be sticky, let rise until double in size. Roll and cut out doughnuts let them raise for approx. 30 min. Fry in hot oil and dip in glaze.
NOTE: I mix the glaze all together and slowly add in hot water until the mixture is similar to pancake batter.
