1 stick softened butter
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1½ cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
3 cups Quaker oats ( quick or old fashioned uncooked)
1 cup raisins or 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mix well.
Add oats and raisins or chocolate chips., mix well.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes until light golden brown. Cool one minute then move to wire rack to cool completely.
