2 Tbsp Canola Oil
2 lbs. ground beef (preferrably 80/20)
2 cans pinto beans, undrained (1 quart home canned)
2 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 large onion, chopped
Chili powder, amount depends upon desired heat
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 cup coke
Salt to taste
Brown sugar to taste

Directions:
In dutch oven, heat the canola oil and brown the ground beef and onion. Add crushed tomatoes, sauce, and pinto beans to beef mixture. Next, add spices, coke and brown sugar. Bring to a boil and then simmer on low for approx. 2 hours.

After a few minutes of simmering, taste chili to see if desired chili spice has been reached. If not, add more.

If chili is too thick, use additional Coke to thin it out.
