2 Tbl. extra virgin olive oil plus 2 more when sautéing the crab cake mixture
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 garlic cloves (finely minced)
1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat
1 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs or panko crumbs
2 Tbl. mayonnaise
1 large egg
juice of 1 lime
2 Tbl. Old Bay Seasoning
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Tartar sauce

Directions:

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook for around 7 minutes, stirring often.
Place the mixture in a bowl and fold in the crabmeat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, egg and lime juice mixing just until well blended.
Shape into 6 crab cakes.
Heat up 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
Add the crab cakes and cook for about 4 minutes on each side, or until they're nice and crisp.
Serve with lemon slices and tartar sauce.
