1 lb ground beef
3/4 lb ground pork
3/4 lb ground veal (optional - adjust other ground meat quantities)
1 onion, finely diced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp chopped parsley
3/4 tsp savory
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground cloves
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c water or beef stock

Double crust pastry

Variation: Add cooked small diced carrots and/or potatoes after meats are cooked

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a large skillet (except pastry) and brown the meat being careful not to overcook ans will continue to cook in the oven. Add more water or beef stock if too dry.

Prepare the pie shell and spoon meat mixture, cover with top crust, seal the edges. Be sure to cut slits in top crust to allow the steam to escape.

Bake 425º for 20 min. Reduce temperature to 350º and continue to bake for another 25 minutes.
