1 cup sugar
½ cup shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
3 T. sour milk (add a tiny bit of vinegar to milk)
3 mashed bananas
2 cups flour
½ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Mix flour, soda and salt together. Add alternately with sour milk to sugar mixture, then add mashed bananas. Bake in loaf pan at 350º for 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

This is a recipe of Joyce Beeler Ginther's that the entire Ginther family loves. Hint: If I have bananas that are too brown to eat, I put them in the freezer until I have enough to make several loaves.
