Directions:Mix butter, egg and sugar. Dissolve yeast in a little warm water & a pinch of sugar. Add to the egg mixture. Then the lukewarm milk, Lastly, the flour slowly. Knead until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
Make fillings.....I use the walnut/raisin one.
Divide the dough into 3 pieces. roll out to a piece 6 x 15 inches. Put the filling in the middle and turn sides in. Seal ends. Diagonally cut slits up each sides opposing cuts to create a v pattern over entire length of strudel.
Let rise 30 - 45 mins or until about double in size. Bake 25-30 mins in a warm oven - 300 degrees- for 25 - 40 mins. Strudel should be golden brown.

Notes: Grandma & Grandpa Stefan would drive up from Los Angeles to visit and when they arrived we couldn't wait to open their trunk. There was always a tray of strudel for us to enjoy. Although this recipe given to us by Teodoscia Muciu may be a little different than that tray, it still has the same dough and delicious filling.
