¼ C DRY BREAD OR CRAKER CRUMBS
2 T CHOPPED ONION
½ TSP SALT
1/8 TSP PEPPER
1 T OIL
¼ SUGAR
2 T CORN STARCH
2 T SOY SAUCE
2 T VINEGAR
½ C WATER
½ C RESERVED PINEAPPLE SYRUP
2 GREEN PEPPERS, CUT IN SLICES
1 ¼ C (13 ¼ OUNCE CAN) PINEAPPLE CHUNKS

IN BOWL, COMBINE BEEF, BREAD, ONION, SALT & PEPPER. FORM BALLS AND BROWN IN HOT OIL. DRAIN OFF DRIPPINGS, REMOVE MEATBALLS. COMBINE SUGAR AND CORN STARCH IN PAN, STIR IN SOY SAUCE, VINEGAR, WATER AND PINEAPPLE SYRUP. COOK UNTIL MIX THICKENS STIRRING CONSTANTLY, ADD PEPPER, MEAT AND PINEAPPLE COOK FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES.
