3 quarts medium size cucumbers
3 cups thinly sliced onion

½ cup pickling salt
4 cups white sugar
4 cups vinegar
2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Slice washed cucs about 1/8 to ¼ inch thick.
Combine cucs, onions and salt.
Cover and let stand over night.
Drain well, combine sugar, vinegar and spiced in a canner. Bring to a boil.
Add vegetables and return to full boil.
Pack in pint jars (sterilized) and cover pickles with hot syrup and seal.
