1 gallon. White Vinegar
2 cups Salt
1 tsp. Powdered Alum
1 clove. Garlic

6 lbs. Okra

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients in a earthenware container and let stand for 2 days.

Wash okra.

Sterilize jars.

Pack okra with a clove of garlic in each jar. Pour brine over them. Screw top on and tighten when the jars have cooled.

In two weeks they are ready to eat.
