¼ lb. butter
1½ c. sugar
1½ c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (18 oz.) jar chunky peanut butter
6 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2½ tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 350º.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars. Blend in eggs and vanilla until smooth. Add peanut butter. Mix well. With wooden spoon, stir in oatmeal, chips and baking soda, mixing well. Drop by large spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Flatten with a fork.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool 1 minute before moving to wire rack to cool completely.

If using a convection oven, bake at 325º for 14 minutes.

Makes 5 dozen.
