1 pound butter
8 eggs, separated and at room temperature
2 3/4 cups sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups plain flour
8 teaspoons whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º.
Whip egg whites till stiff, gradually adding 1/2 cup sugar. Put in refrigerator. Cream butter and vanilla. Add sugar. Add 2 yolks per time. Add flour and cream, beating little. Fold in egg whites. Bake for 15 minutes at 300º. Turn oven to 275º and bake 1 hour and 45 minutes.
