2 eggs
2 egg yolks
½ tsp. salt
½ c powdered sugar
¼ c margarine (melted)
1 jigger rum or sherry
2 cups flour
hot fan for frying
powdered sugar to sprinkle

Directions:

Beat until lemon colored:
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
½ tsp salt

Add to egg mixture and beat:
½ c powdered sugar
¼ c margarine (melted)
1 jigger (shot) rum or sherry

Fold 2 c. flour into mixture and knead until dough blisters. Transfer to a well-floured board. Roll very thin and cut into strips 4" long. Slit each piece in center and pull one end thru slit. Fry in hot fat until light brown. Drain on brown paper bag. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Store in loose fitting box.

This is Mom's recipe. She loved these cookies.
In the Polish cookbook, Chrusciki are also called Sweet Crisps. Martha Stewart says to serve stack cookies in the shape of a tree with one standing on top and sprinkle the tree with powdered sugar.
