1 teaspoon yeast
2/3 cup lightly warmed milk
1 egg, beaten
1 2/3 cups flour
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cloves
¼ teaspoon mace
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup sugar
½ cup golden raisins
½ cup black raisins
½ cup currants

1 teaspoon each lemon and orange zest

Directions:
Directions:
Proof yeast with warm milk, adding beaten egg when done. Mix flour, cinnamon, mace, cloves salt butter and sugar together. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and blend. Add raisins, currants, orange and lemon zests. Mix until smooth and form into a rectangle. Butter a loaf pan and lay dough into it. Cover and let rise for one hour until doubled. Heat oven to 350° and bake loaf for 45 minutes until well browned.
