1 lb hamburger, browned and crumbled
2 cloves garlic, crushed (cut down on this)
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 No. 2 can tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
lasagna noodles, cooked
sliced mozzarella cheese, about 1/2 lb or a little more
ricotta or cottage cheese, about 3/4 lb
Parmesan cheese

Directions:

1. In large skillet, brown ground beef with crushed garlic in 2 tbs oil. Drain. Crumble ground beef.
2. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano.
3. Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes.
4. Meanwhile cook lasagna noodles in boiling salt water until tender (about 15 minutes).
5. Fill rectangle or oval casserole dish with alternating layers of noodles, sliced mozzarella cheese, ricotta or cottage cheese, tomato meat sauce and grated Parmesan cheese, ending with layer of sauce and Parmesan cheese.
6. Bake at 375º F for 15 to 20 minutes.
