1 ¾ cups flour
¾ tsp baking flour
1 ¼ tsp cream of tarter
½ tsp salt
1 cup nuts (optional)
⅓ cup shortening
⅔ cup sugar
1 cup (more or less) mashed ripe bananas
2 eggs, well-beaten

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift flour, soda, cream of tarter and salt.
2. Cream shortening, then add sugar and eggs.
3. Add bananas and flour, alternately to creamed mixture.
4. Bake in 8x4 inch pan for 1 hour at 350ºF.
