2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
2 c. unroasted Spanish peanuts (RAW)
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy skillet or saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves, cook to soft ball stage (275). Add peanuts and salt. Stir and watch so that peanuts don't scorch or burn. Cook to hard crack stage (300-310). Add butter and soda. Stir to blend (mixture will bubble up). Pour onto buttered cookie sheet or buttered pie tins. Makes 2½ lbs.
