½ c. plus 2 T. butter
1⅓ c. flour
8 c. half and half
½ tsp. pepper
1 tsp. chives
2 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
1½ tsp. parsley flakes
1½ tsp. Old Bay seasoning
2 t. Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce
1 lb. crab meat
¼ c. sherry (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Blend flour with part of the chicken broth. Add to melted butter. Add half and half and seasonings. Stir. Slowly cook, stirring often...until thick. It takes awhile. DO NOT BOIL! Add crab meat and sherry. Heat thoroughly.

If you cook it too high or too fast, it will stick. I think that it tastes better on day two.
