1 box yellow cake mix
½ c. butter, melted
1 egg

1 8-oz pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. butter, melted
4 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg with mixer or spoon. Pat into 9 X 13 pan. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add the 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and beat with mixer Slowly beat in the powdered sugar. Pour over the cake layer Bake 40-45 minutes (center will still be jiggly). Cool.

I have made this recipe with many different cake flavors and additions to the filling.

Chocolate cake mix - add chocolate chips and nuts to filling.
Butter pecan cake mix - add butterscotch bits and pecans to filling.
White cake mix - substitute almond flavoring in filling and serve with fresh red raspberries.
Strawberry cake mix - serve with fresh strawberries
